Kauffman to Host 2013 Senior Fair Sept. 6
HARRISBURG – Senior citizens living in the 89th Legislative District in Cumberland and Franklin counties are once again invited to Rep. Rob Kauffman’s (R-Cumberland/Franklin) annual Senior Fair on Friday, Sept. 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chambersburg Mall.
“Each year we have more than 1,000 seniors joining us for a day filled with great information, food and conversation,” said Kauffman. “I always look forward to seeing many familiar faces and meeting those new to the district or fair. I encourage everyone to take a little time out of their schedules to stop by and learn about the countless services and programs available to seniors here in Pennsylvania and our counties to help them lead better, healthier and more productive lives.”
The fair is free to attend and is open to all area senior citizens and their family members or caregivers. More than 80 vendors representing various state agencies, local governments, businesses and nonprofit organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer questions important to seniors. Health screenings, free food and door prizes will also be offered.
The Chambersburg Mall is located at 3055 Black Gap Road in Chambersburg. The fair is being sponsored by The Village of Laurel Run.
