AARP Smart Driver Course Available for Older Drivers, Says Kauffman
Attendees are eligible for a discount on their auto insurance premiums
HARRISBURG – Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin) is once again teaming up with AARP to offer the AARP Smart Driver Course to older drivers living the 89th District in Franklin County. The course is offered on multiple dates throughout the year in order to accommodate a wide array of schedules.
“The Smart Driver Course is designed to provide older motorists with tips and techniques to help them become safer and more confident drivers,” said Kauffman. “This is a course I have been sponsoring for many years, and people always walk away with a bit of knowledge they didn’t have before that helps them to improve their driving skills.”
The AARP Smart Driver Course is offered as a two-day program for first-time attendees, as well as a one-day program for those just needing a refresher.
By taking the course, participants will learn the current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and how to operate their vehicles more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment.
The AARP Smart Driver Course is offered at the locations and dates listed below. There are no tests to pass. All classes are held from 8 a.m. to noon. The course costs $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. Space is limited. Register by calling (717) 532-1707.
