Kauffman Welcomes $1 Million in Grant Funding to Support Local Projects

HARRISBURG – This week, the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved $1.02 million is state grant funding for projects in the 89th Legislative District that were advocated for by Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin).

“These are important projects that will improve the quality of life in our district,” said Kauffman. “These state grants will help with both needed infrastructure improvements and public safety equipment.”

The grants are as follows:

$150,000 for the Borough of Chambersburg to conduct a rail trail extension feasibility study for the Cumberland Valley Rail Trail to go through the borough.
$300,000 for the Chambersburg Borough Fire Department to purchase four cardiac monitors.
$70,000 for Greene Township’s Scotland Community Association to make needed facility renovations.
$230,000 for Greene Township’s Scotland Youth Baseball League to make renovations to its fields, including additional parking, lighting and security.
$122,000 for Franklin Fire Company to purchase a traffic safety utility unit.
$150,000 for Marion Volunteer Fire Company to make necessary facility renovations.

The CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
