HARRISBURG – Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin) has announced that his always-popular Senior Fair, slated to be held Friday, Sept. 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be held at a new location this year – the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department.

The fair will be held in the fire department’s social hall at 101 W. Main St., Fayetteville.

The fair typically draws approximately 1,000 individuals each year who come out to gather information about local, state and federal services and programs of value to senior citizens and their caregivers.

“I am exciting to have a new location for the fair and to meet up again with those who have made coming to the Senior Fair an annual tradition,” said Kauffman. “I enjoy being able to bring so many agencies and organizations together in one place for the ultimate convenience of gathering information and having questions answered. Our seniors are always so grateful for this event and I am honored to be able to devote this day to them.”

Kauffman noted that the fair is free to attend and is open to all area senior citizens and their family members or caregivers. More than 80 vendors representing various state agencies, local governments, businesses and nonprofit organizations will be on hand to provide information and answer questions important to seniors. Health screenings, free food and door prizes will also be offered.

The Senior Fair is sponsored by The Village of Laurel Run.
