HARRISBURG – Some useful materials for hunters and trappers are available free of charge in state Rep. Rob Kauffman’s (R-Franklin) district offices in Shippensburg and Chambersburg.

“We currently have a supply of target pads and copies of the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s Hunter & Trapper Digest available for interested residents,” said Kauffman. “Just stop by either of my district offices to pick them up.”

Kauffman said unlike past years, hunting license buyers will not receive a complimentary copy of the 2017-18 Hunting and Trapping Digest when they purchase a license. They are now asked to print their own copy from the website or purchase a printed copy for $6. A digital version can be downloaded by going to pgc.pa.gov and clicking on the “Hunting & Trapping Digest” link. However, free copies are available in his offices.

Kauffman has a district office at 703 Municipal Drive in Shippensburg, open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and one at 166 South Main St. in Chambersburg, open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“I encourage all those hitting the woods this year to stay safe and to consider donating any extra meat to those in need through the Hunters Sharing the Harvest program at sharedeer.org,” said Kauffman.
