Judiciary Committee to Hold Public Hearing on Justice Reinvestment Initiative

WHAT: Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, will host a public hearing on a package of bills that would expand the Justice Reinvestment Initiative. Senate Bills 500, 501 and 502 are designed to reduce prison and probation costs, better protect crime victims and strengthen public safety.

Kauffman Leads Committee in Advancing Legislation to Protect Homeowners, Minors and Victims of Sexual Extortion

HARRISBURG – The House Judiciary Committee today approved three House bills to increase the safety of Pennsylvania homeowners, minors and those who are the targets of sexual extortion, reported Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin), chairman of the committee. One of the bills is being sponsored by Rep. Jesse Topper (R-Bedford/Franklin/Fulton), also a member of the committee.
