Kauffman Announces $14 Million in Federal CARES Act Funds for Franklin County

HARRISBURG – The House of Representatives today passed Senate Bill 1108, which sets the guidelines for the distribution of $2.6 billion in federal funds for the state. Under the bill, Franklin County would receive $14 million, out of $625 million designated for counties, to help address impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, announced Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin).

Kauffman Cautions Judges Against Requests for Widespread Release of Inmates

HARRISBURG – Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-Franklin) this week sent a letter to Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Thomas Saylor to express his reservations about the request from other lawmakers to categorically release populations of inmates from state and county prisons in response to the current health crisis facing the state.
